„Awakening is a change of state, thus a driving force or even an enlightenment. The exhibition Awakening is a combination of documented unconscious events from the dream state and a conscious installation. The driving force and concentration of the artist has resulted in a diverse collection of sketches of dreams. The collection might later become a source or stimulus to other works of art, in addition to deepening her own understanding and feelings of self. Here at the exhibition Awakening, Guðrún has made the collection the subject of an installation, one local work of art, where the audience is invited to enter her dream world. Who knows but but her dream sketches will be an inspiration or an awakening for visitors to look for individual symbols for interpretation or that the exhibition as a whole will become an awakening for other stages of awareness. But first and foremost, this is an interesting exhibition that is worth enjoying.“
