A new exhibition about the history of the swimming pool in Laugaskarður was opened on June 17, 2026.
The exhibition aims to tell the story briefly, in both Icelandic and English, with photographs and text that has been chosen to frame the story so that both Icelandic and English-speaking visitors can view the exhibition and understand the story in a few minutes.
The exhibition is set up to mark the town's 80th anniversary and will be a permanent exhibition on the lower floor of the swimming pool building. The photographs in the exhibition are by various authors, and the exhibition was designed by Guðrún Arndís Tryggvadóttir.
