On the occasion of the Month of Visual Arts, the artists Andrína Guðrún Jónsdóttir and Guðrún Arndís Tryggvadóttir invite everyone to a celebration at their studios at Mánamörk 3-5 in Hveragerði. The purpose of the Month of Visual Arts is to introduce the work of visual artists to the public, make the profession more accessible and increase the discussion about visual arts in Iceland. Andrína and Guðrún will give guests an insight into what it really means to work in visual arts. The visual arts profession involves both the development of ideas as such as the choice of suitable methods of implementation and finally the communication of the result to the public, because visual art ultimately takes place in the dialogue between the work and the viewer. The festival will be held on Sunday, October 18th from 12:00 to 18:00.
